Lawrence Welk Biographies of the Longest Running TV
Show In History!
The
Lawrence Welk Show was among the most successful
musical variety shows in American history and can be
watched on PBS
A wealth of talent entertained millions of people on TV with
what became known as Champagne music over its 30
year and 1,065 episode history.
As a member of the
Society of Professional Journalists, all biographies
have been independently researched and compiled to create

This

This special episode features "Hot
Diggity" played by Myron Floren on
accordion with Gail Farrell, Ralna
English, Norma Zimmer, Sandi Griffiths,
Mary Lou Metzger, Guy Hovis, Tom
Netherton, Joe Livoti, Jimmy Roberts,
Ken Delo and danced by Lawrence Welk &
Mary Lou Metztger. Also featured is
"Catch a Falling Star" sung by the
Aldridge Sisters & Otwell Twins,
"Papa Loves Mambo" sung and danced
by Bobby Burgess & Cissy King and
"It’s Impossible" sung by Kathie
Sullivan. Pianists Bob Smale and Bob
Ralston team up to perform the song "Till
the End of Time", Guy Hovis & Ralna
English sing "If", and Arthur Duncan
tap dances to "Round and Round".
Other Perry Como songs include
"And I Love You So" sung by Tom
Netherton, "That is Amore" sung
by Bob Lido with Myron Floren on
accordion and "Beautiful Girl"
sung by Dick Dale. Norma Zimmer closes
the show with the beautiful song "Ave
Maria".
